Varnashilpi Venkatappa Awardee Sri M.R.Balikai was felicitated in the month of August by Kalamandala and local artists and art students. On this occasion, seminars were arranged on art education and the paintings of Sri Balikai.
Sri. M.R.Balikai served as art lecturer in an art school in Dharwad. He always loved and encouraged his students to learn art. His watercolour landscapes are very beautiful and his students also learnt this medium from him , have excelled in the medium, and have established as known watercolour landscapists.
