              Arya Acharya was a self taught artist. He had his shows in major cities of India and in Germany,Italy,France and Netherland. Apart from this, he wrote poetry, plays,short stories and translated some important book of Sanskrit in to Kannada. His paintings are a comment on post-modern philosophy.

Sri H.S. Venugopal Presented his paintings, graphic works and Murals and interacted with the audience at kalamandala Art Gallery.

Sri. H.S.Venugopal studied fine art at Ken School of Art,Bangalore and M.S. University, Baroda. He is specialised in Graphic Art and has done several shows.

Felicitation

Newly appointed Karnataka lalitkala Academy President Smt.M.J.kamalakshi was felicitated  on November 29th, 2017, at Hotel Mayur. Dr.Madanmohan Tavargeri, Dr.Kumud Tavargeri, Smt. Malati Pattanshetti, Smt. Gayatri Desai and Sri Madhu Desai, and local artists were present on the occasion.

Madhu Desai studied fine art at ken School of Art,Bangalore. He has exhibited his works in major cities in India, and in Germany, France and Korea. He has worked as an art director for many kannada serials and documentaries.

Felicitation Programme

Varnashilpi Venkatappa Awardee Sri M.R.Balikai was felicitated in the month of August by Kalamandala and local artists and art students. On this occasion, seminars were arranged on art education and the paintings of Sri Balikai.

Sri. M.R.Balikai served as art lecturer in an art school in Dharwad. He always loved and encouraged his students to learn art. His watercolour landscapes are very beautiful and his students also learnt this medium from him , have excelled in the medium, and have established as known watercolour landscapists.
